Trademark Assignment RecordalA trademark application or rights in a registered trademark may be transferred or assigned on the following grounds:

Requirement to Assign All Similar Registered and Pending Trademarks for the Same or Similar Goods and/or Services
Where a trademark owner owns more than one registered trademark and/or pending trademark application that is substantially or entirely similar to another trademark in respect of the same or similar goods and/or services, the assignment may only be made if all such registered trademarks and/or pending applications are assigned to the same assignee.
Required Documents for Recordation
A. Registered Trademarks
An application for recordal of the assignment of rights in a registered trademark must be accompanied by the following documents:
a. Evidence supporting the requested recordal of the assignment of trademark rights, including:
c. Certified copy of the deed of establishment of the legal entity, if the assignee is a legal entity;
d. Identification of the applicant; and
e. Scanned copy of the Power of Attorney, signed by the Assignee; notarisation or legalisation is not required.
B. Pending Trademark Applications
For a pending trademark application, the application for recordal of the assignment must be accompanied by:
a. A document evidencing the assignment, including:
d. Scanned copy of the Power of Attorney, signed by the Assignee; notarisation or legalisation is not required.
All required documents must be provided in color PDF format.
Foreign-Executed Assignment Deed
Where the assignment deed is executed outside Indonesia, the document must be duly notarized and apostilled in the country of execution. Upon receipt in Indonesia, we will arrange for the document to comply with the applicable Indonesian stamp duty requirements and to be translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator before submission to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP).
An application for recordal of the assignment of rights in a registered trademark must be accompanied by the following documents:

- Will;
- Waqf deed;
- Grant deed;
- Agreement (Assignment, or Merger/Acquisition); or
- Other evidence permitted under applicable laws and regulations.
c. Certified copy of the deed of establishment of the legal entity, if the assignee is a legal entity;
d. Identification of the applicant; and
e. Scanned copy of the Power of Attorney, signed by the Assignee; notarisation or legalisation is not required.
